Hi Eco-Gas

I’ve fitted system fitted to my 2H in a HJ60 for about two weeks now and are extremely happy with the extra power & economy.One hill that I used to drive up in 2nd gear I now take in 5th changing to 4th near the top.  My son who is a diesel mechanic in the open cut mines down here just does not believe this is the same HJ60 with 33 inch tyres as it goes so well.  I’m very happy.

Thanks

Sincerely

I am extremely happy with the Eco-Gas installation.

I am currently getting out of 120 ltr fuel and 20 ltr LPG 1050 kms as previously was getting out of 120 ltr fuel only just under 700kms. (this is from full to the reserve light coming on) So I guess the 30% you claim as extra fuel economy is true. I also have a far more responsive truck now and I love it when I overtake and tow my van…it is a breeze to drive.

I now look forward to speak to anyone that may be interested in the EcoGas system and give them the news!

Thank you very much

Dear Eco-Gas,

As you know, I had your EcoGas system installed in my Diesel powered Mussojust before

Christmas 2007. I was attracted to your particular system as I am very uncomfortable about

sending a flammable LPG/air mix through a red-hot Turbocharger. Unlike some other

Diesel/LPG conversion systems, your system of injecting the LPG into the manifold after the

turbo avoids this. Although the Mussouses the older, mechanically injected 2.9 litre, 5

cylinder Mercedes Diesel motor, the results of the conversion have been excellent to say the

least.

Since early January 2008, we have been travelling around Australia with our caravan, visiting

South Australia, Victoria, inland NSW and Tasmania so far.

We have experienced heat (up to 52 degrees!), cold (it snowed in Hobart when we were

there), have driven to the top of Mt Wellington near Hobart (almost 1300 metres or 4200 feet

high) and crossed the Tasmanian high country, towing the caravan up and down the sides of

mountains at up to 800 metres or 2,500 feet above sea level.

Whether at sea level or in high country and with, or without, the van on the back of the

Musso, the improvement in drivability of the car is incredible. Without the van in tow, 1st and

2nd gears now seem too short! It almost feels like a petrol powered vehicle to drive. All

lethargy (that most Diesels exhibit) is a dim, distant memory and hills can be tackled at least

one gear higher than before.

When off-road, the Mussonow scrabbles for traction in 2nd gear, High Range 4WD on gravel

and, in 2WD on gravel, the Traction Control Unit has no show of …

… controlling the power she now has. I always keep good records of fuel usage and costs while

travelling. I have worked out that, on average, your EcoGas system is saving me the equivalent of

between 3 and 4 litres of Diesel per hundred kilometres in reduced fuel usage. With Diesel

averaging $1.50 per litre during our travels, this translates to a saving of about $5.00 for every

hundred K’s. Additionally, my average cost per litre for fuel has been reduced by about 10%,

saving another $2 per hundred Kilometres giving an overall saving of about $70 for every

thousand kilometres. Over the 19,000 kilometres we have travelled on this trip to date, that

means that I have saved $1,330 off my fuel bill thanks to your DGAS system. Over the 40,000–

odd kilometres that the full trip is planned to last, I expect my fuel  bill to be about $3,000 less

than it otherwise would have been. I’m sure anyone would agree that this is a considerable

saving.

On top of the savings, transformation in the driving of the vehicle needs to be experienced to be

appreciated. I have given a few fellow Diesel powered Mussoowners a drive of mine while

travelling around the country and they cannot believe the difference between my Diesel/LPG

powered one and their own straight Diesel versions.  The overall results so far for my Mussoare

12% improvement in Power and 16% improvement in torque (as measured on a Dyno), 10%

reduction in fuel costs (per litre –average cost of Diesel and LPG over the same number of litres

of Diesel) and 19% increase in economy.

I am a VERY happy convert to Dual Fuel Diesel/LPG usage. Thank you!

Yours sincerely

D.H.

Over the weekend we went to visit family in Swansea NSW and it being the first decent trip away after the EcoGas installation, I am happy to tell you that I have managed to do so far 810klms and still have a 1/4 of tank of diesel. The gas indicator showed one small light on and as I am not used to the gas readings, I filled it for $10.50. As the tank holds 32 litres, the one light indication must mean that the gas tank still had 16 ltr left and there was no need to fill up. I am confident that the truck will still do another 200 kms before the empty diesel fuel light is displayed, giving me a total of well over 1000 kms on a tank full of gas and diesel.I am absolutely ecstatic with that result, as I carry a fair load on my roof as well as gear inside. In the past the best I ever got out of a full tank of diesel was just over 700klms, so not only do I get heaps better fuel economy, but also heaps more power. In short, I am extremely happy and as we are planning a caravan trip around OZ in 2008, the EcoGas installation will pay for itself in no time at all. In the mean time I am telling and showing everyone the EcoGas system and anyone that is interested in doing something about our environment as well as having more power and an excellent improved fuel economy should seriously look at the EcoGas system. The service I have received from Jamie Waterhouse in fitting this system, was excellent and I would certainly recommend him to anyone as a dedicated mechanic.Thank you again Eco-Gas for the introduction to Jamie Waterhouse, as my present results speak for themselves.

Dear Eco-Gas.

I finally got my demo vehicle fitted with your EcoGas System.  I am very impressed with the increase in power particularly when the vehicle is fully loaded or overloaded. If you switch off the LPG while going uphill under load it really shows and you soon have the urge to switch on the EcoGas again.

In summery I have a very good reliable non turbo demonstrator and had no problem installing the kit and look forward to installing more.

Many thanks.

Hi Eco-Gas

Well I did it and got the beast last night. The system has made an immediate and noticeable improvement to the car. Driving a normally aspirated 2.8L, 4 Runner, ANY improvement is appreciated. I gained about 8 KW with the install which may not seem much but it was a 20% increase on what I had.

Thanks for the information and your help in organising an installer for me.

Hi Eco-Gas,

You may remember my vehicle is a 2003 WG 2.7 CRD Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.

I just got back from my trip toQueensland and the Territory.

The good news is that after sitting idle in Charleville for 2 weeks,

while we were off ridingour motorbikes, the blockagecaused by the

contaminated LPG cleared by itself on the return journey.

I’ve changed the line-upso that the filter is after the heater (as shown in your

instruction manual) so hopefully I won’t have any further issues with

contaminatedLPG.

I don’t suppose Shell and BP are offering to pay for the cleaningof

blockedLPG units?

By the way, on the return trip towing a trailerwith 3 bikeson it at 110 kph the trip

computer on the Jeep showed a saving of 2 L/100kms with the gas flowing.

Hello,

I would like to give you some feedback on the EcoGas System and one of  your installers. I can highly recommend Chris in Wagga who fitted EcoGas to my 2007 2.9L TD 2WD Auto MussoSports last week.

We started out with a 55 thou jet. Performance great but high gas usage and

some pinging. Dropped down to 30 thou for trip home (approx 500km) and

used negligible gas with no discernible performance improvement. We then

changed to a 45 thou and is now running well and powerfully –no pinging

that I can discern.

The performance difference is astounding.

Your installer team were fantastic. The installation of components looks like

original equipment.

Many thanks.

Martin Sanchez from Lonsdale St. Auto Electrics.

We are an agent for the Eco-Gas System.

I have installed an EcoGas System to my own Land cruiser 100 Series with super results. I have a 20 litre gas tank mounted under the driver side that gives me 1000km range LPG to Diesel. Full Diesel tank capacity is maintained. Power output from the vehicle is increased, economy is increased and “Black Smoke” or particulate pollution is greatly reduced. My own experience shows a fuel reduction from 11.4 l/100km to 9.6 l/100km combined fuel.

A small proportion of LPG is injected into the engine, and diesel is always introduced, as before. In the event LPG runs out, the vehicle runs on straight diesel as before.

During “Dual Fuel” running as the burn process is more complete your diesel usage reduces, extends range on tank refills and increases power output.

The guys @ Eco-Gas did a great job (and I even got a beer on a Friday night). So far, I am very happy with the system and the install. In saying this, I didn’t so much go for the economy side of things but have noticed an improvement. I more so wanted the power increase and most certainly the system achieved that.[Sunday, May 30, 2009 — 23:59]

Eco-Gas, as you know I am fussy at getting things right and knowing how things work and your patience in explaining things etc. is appreciated. I did a lot of reading around the subject of diesel gas and have waited for over a year until the right product was available to do this at a reasonable price. (the $3,000 in GOVT rebates in WA helped) Little did I realize however what a dramatic difference to engine torque the gas injection would make.[Saturday, May 30, 2009 — 23:52]

GAS The Land Cruiser was unreal. I just towed my caravan 2000kms like it wasn’t there. Sitting on 110 with plenty of power for overtaking. The power comes in like flicking on a light switch. The gas when towing is lasting around 600 plus km. [Saturday, May 30, 2009 — 23:49]

The fuel chart shows the results after just 3 weeks without returning for the 10,000kms fine tuning you mentioned I should book in for.
