LCV & Truck Savings

chartFuel Savings

The ECO-GAS System is known as the “GREEN” system. It does this by improving diesel combustion and can achieve up to a staggering 30% decrease in diesel fuel costs. This saving must then take into consideration the cost of the LPG fuel which currently is circa 2/3 less than diesel fuel. Historically the nett savings then is around 20%. A significant figure especially for those driving long hual and interstate.

Savings are made from normally un-burnt diesel fuel wasted in poor combustion and expelled through the exhaust system as pollution. It is this unburnt diesel which is now used to power the engine more efficiently. Not only does un-burnt fuel waste money, it also causes pollution to our environment.

Use of the extra performance given by LPG injection will reduce the overall savings however we are able to tune the LPG injection for either maximum economy or power or somehwere  in the middle as required  by our the user!

Note: Any increase in economy is classed as a bonus as the ECO-GAS system was designed mainly to lower emissions by increasing combustion of the diesel fuel with the added bonuses of extra performance and economy.

Other Savings

ECO-GAS can prolong engine life by improving combustion. This improvement reduces  Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGT’s) and carbon build up in the engine, which in turn reduces carbon in the engine oil. This reduced deposits in the engine oil allows the engine the run with cleaner/fresher oil between the regular oilchanges.

CLEANER OILS MEANS LONGER LASTING ENGINES! A quick check of the colour of the exhaust tip at the end of the tail pipe will confirm much less black soot.

Less carbon and lower oil temperatures increase the time intervals between oil changes, which then can be added as an extra saving in oil and servicing costs.

Government Grants / Incentives

The Australian Government has established the LPG Vehicle Scheme to assist private use  motorists (non commercial or business use) with the purchase of a new LPG vehicle or the conversion of a new or used petrol or diesel vehicle to LPG.

Return on Investment

This test result is based on a 15 ton truck averaging 20,000 km each month. The monthly saving would equate to around $4,000. In this scenario ECO-GAS “BIG RIG” installation would pay for itself in around 4 months.

And the great news doesn’t stop there. With installation costs for passenger vehicles and 4WD’s comparable to normal Petrol/LPG conversions PLUS the Government rebates for passenger vehicles, your diesel and your wallet will never be happier!

Note: Government rebates are $2000 per vehicle ($3000 in Western Australia)
